This is a scan of my first known lyrics sheet, circa 1999. I found it in a grade 2 cahier while I was moving last week. "Søong book" was 1 of about 5 entries in that notebook. I would have been 7 or 8 y/o, and just learning how to write.
Before finding these lyrics, I was under the impression that the first song I'd written had been at age 15, titled "Alice in Wonderland." Preceding that age by ~8 years, this "Søong book" scan is now the oldest piece of evidence I have pointing towards my propensity for songwriting.
My favourite line is the final one: "When you sing along with me I fill with joy and that is what it's all about --> The end! :D"
Haven't changed much !!
