HACKER MAG

Artist Kevin Abosch employs synthetic photography to reinterpret hacker magazines from the 80's and 90's as they "might have been." These works were designed to fit within the constraint of 16:9 aspect ratio which makes them perfect to display on 16:9 screens or on mobile devices. Abosch has tackled the issue of 16:9 ubiquity and the awkwardness of working within this aspect ratio. "Bringing vintage hacker mags into this form-factor really tickles me," Abosch relates.
