Obvious Research presents its genesis artwork, "Renaissance". Crafted by the artist trio Obvious, this digital work serves as a testament to the creation of their research laboratory on Generative AI. This artwork is composed of a 3D scan of a sculpture which can be seen inside the Sorbonne University in Paris. This digital representation creates a bridge between Obvious and the Sorbonne University, embodying their will to work together on harnessing the power of science for art. The digital statue wears a texture created using text to image and image to video algorithms. The textures are inspired from the most glaring examples of the impact of science on visual art: the golden ratio, tessellations, mobius strips... In addition to marking the birth of Obvious Research, this artwork also embodies its vision: to explore the uncharted territories at the intersection of technology and creativity, and to channel these discoveries into artistic expressions.
