Behind Closed Doors | 密室での #XVI
During my travels in Japan, I used a 35mm film camera to capture the allure of local native girls in vintage love hotels from the 70s to 90s, hidden in Japanese suburbs.
These unique locations embody the nostalgia of the Showa era (1926-1989) and reflect Japan's complex attitudes toward sexuality and personal freedom. Each themed room is like entering a different universe, and I aim to share this nostalgic aesthetic with the world.
