Calm Place

[hell_ world](https://wild.xyz/jeffrey-scudder/hell-world/) is a series of pixel paintings created by Jeffrey Scudder. Each of the works were made using aesthetic.computer, a software-based platform designed and built by the artist. In this collection, each final work emerges from a deliberate series of steps taken by the artist using aesthetic’s library of commands. Pixels, gestures, and code synthesize into paintings with looping playback that exposes the process to collectors. As a creative coder who believes in building tools for future generations of creators, Scudder not only makes pictures, but invents the source – the code, the tools – and invites everyone to take part in their use. Using text-based commands, anyone can visit the aesthetic.computer and make their own paintings.
